Music's Live 2012...It's coming...


For the last two years, PMT Birmingham and Manchester have been the home of trade show Music's Live 2012. It has grown year on year and this year's event promises to be the best event yet!



It's here again, Music's Live 2012: All the worlds top music brands showing off their top gear at Birmingham and Manchester. All the latest gadgets, fantastic new releases, end of line deals, loads of special offers, second hand clearance, no entrance fee, free parking and expert advice from some of the industry's finest.


Music's Live is your once a year opportunity to get advice 'straight from the horses mouth' with so many manufacturers bringing demonstrators and new tech you can learn how to get the best from their equipment. Of course, our own staff will be there to make sure you get the best hands on experience whilst finding the right deal for you, at the right price.

We've had a lot of interest in the brand new Peavey AT200, their revolutionary autotune guitar in collaboration with antares. The guitar saves time tuning, has great accuracy in its intonation and opens up new doors for those who which to rapidly switch to different tuning configurations. Set to be a game changer this guitar will be on demo along with the brand new Nano Vypyr guitar amp and the new lightweight and portable PVX passive PA Cabs!



As you may know, our Manchester and Birmingham stores are proud to have a Roland Planet section each, with dedicated experts available to give you all the advice needed for the right purchase. After celebrating 10 years of the Roland Planet, it would be unlike PMT not to get Roland on-board with Music's Live 2012. On the day you can expect to see expert hands-on demos on their GR55 Guitar synthesiser, the Boss GT100 amp modeling pedal and much more! Faith Guitars have gone on from strength to strength, and have recently added Will Homner from metal band Rise To Remain to their list of artists. We've got a key guitar designer down to show off their latest acoustics and to offer some expert advice for those looking for the perfect acoustic guitar.

We all know and love Nord for their stage pianos, synths and organs. This year they expanded into the world of drum synths with the Nord Drum. The drum synth delivers supreme analogue sound with the ability of users to mix tone, noise and click parameters for 4 different drum channels. The unit can be controlled by a combination of pads, MIDI triggers and sequencers giving flexible options for both performers and producers. Also on demo will be the new Nord C2 Electro 4HP.


Main man from Spycatcher, Drew Elliot is known for his legendary guitar and vocal effects pedal demos. He'll be at Music's Live 2012 demonstrating vocal harmonisers and a wealth of Digitech's multi-effects solutions.


The THR Range of amplifiers from Yamaha have been so successful that they have expanded the range aiming specific models for acoustics, metal fans with a classic boutique tube model. Also launching on the day will be the DTX400 electronic drum kit - £389 for Yamaha quality pads and sound – Product expert Mikey will be thrashing out on the kit, showing off the affordable kit's massive potential.


New to PMT Birmingham is a brand new RCF Line Array installation. This mammoth installation features the HDL20A and SUB8006AS and will become Birmingham's in-house PA for all events demos and installs. Come down and meet Dean, RCF's product expert who can advise you on their active PA range suitable for mobile bands to venue installations. Don't forget about their range of affordable active studio monitors from RCF which will be on demo as always!


PMT Birmingham are also proud to announce their new Pioneer demo area. Don't forget PMT now stock DJ equipment ranging from CD decks, mixers, dj controllers and more. Experts will be available to give you the low down on how to mix and blend your favourite tunes and get the crowd dancing all night!


Fender will be there on the day with plenty of freebies for those who purchase a Fender Guitar or Amplifier.
